26th EMA 2018 & Kategori baru: EYMA 2018

Jamiyah Singapura mengadakan acara tahunan The Exemplary Mother Award (IBU) pada 20hb Oktober 2018 di Mandarin Orchard Singapura. This year’s EMA we introduced a new category – The Exemplary Young Mother Award that honours mothers below 40 years old who have shown resilience in overcoming life’s challenges, displayed entrepreneurial spirit, and are contributing to society in their own ways. Gracing the event as Guest-of-Honour Her Excellency, President of the Republic of Singapore, Dr Halimah Yacob along with Special Guest Ms Sim Ann, Senior Minister of State Ministry of Culture and Youth & Ministry of Communications and Information and Adviser, Panel of Judges for EMA.

This year’s 26th EMA winner is Ms Bibi Fatimah Binte Sheikh Md who received the Presidential Shield and Award and Ms Ju Ann Thong who won the inaugural Exemplary Young Mother Award 2018. Also present at the ceremony were Chairperson to Panel of Judges Ms Claire Chiang, Panel of Judges and officials of Jamiyah, Prof (adj) Dr Mohd Hasbi Abu Bakar (Presiden), Dr H M Saleem (VP 1), Mr Mohd Yunos Mohd Shariff (VP 2) dan Dr Isa Hassan (VP 3).

The EMA has enabled us to continuously honour deserving mothers. We look forward to more nominations next year for the 27th Exemplary Mother Award! Thank you to all our supporters, penderma dan penaja!
