ECF Participants @ Henderson Graduates

21st January 2017 saw the completion of the Empowering and Caring for our Family (ECF) programme for 58 participants from Henderson Community Centre (CC). The programme that consisted of 5 modular workshops covered topics like strengthening family ties and managing money matters, aimed at empowering the lives of the beneficiaries.

Guest-of-Honour, Ms Joan Pereira, Adviser to Henderson-Dawson Grassroots Organisation said, “ECF Programme has helped beneficiaries learn important life skills which is focused on building strong and happy families. 29 families from Henderson-Dawson constituency who have attended the group sessions had benefitted greatly from the valuable tips on parenting and financial management skills.”
She also added that with the ECF programme, there is an increased awareness on the importance of maintaining a healthy and resilient marriage as well as effective family communication.

Following the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Jamiyah Singapore and NTUC U CARE CENTRE (NTUC UCC) last Saturday at Marsiling Community Centre, the participants from Henderson CC will also benefit from the employability opportunities by NTUC UCC.
