February 26, 2018Project Lend-A-Hand (PLAH) completion ceremony
Project Lend-A-Hand (PLAH) completion ceremony was held at Jamiyah Headquarters on 24th February 2018. This project is an annual community outreach project by Jamiyah Singapore for Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) students who are from low-income families.
It is also in collaborated with JBS International College and supported by Linklaters Singapore, Tan Chin Tuan Foundation and Tan Kong Piat Pte Ltd.
At the event, Guest-of-Honor, Mr Saktiandi Supaat, Member of Parliament for Bishan-Toa Payoh GRC graced the event and Special Guest, Mr Seng Han Tong, Chairman of the Singapore Taxi Academy.
47 student beneficiaries of PLAH 2017 participated in this project and have successfully obtained at least one grade jump and commendable improvements for their PSLE results.
Present at the event were officials of Jamiyah Singapore, Dr H M Saleem, Mr Yunos Shariff, Dr Isa Hassan, Mr Shariff Yatim, Mr Jafar Mydin and Ms Nora Rustham. Jamiyah Singapore is grateful to our collaborators present at the event. Dr Isa Hassan, Vice President III of Jamiyah Singapore gave a welcome speech at the occasion. Mr Christopher Bradley, Managing Partner of Linklaters Singapore spoke at the occasion.
