Nurses’ Day 2018

Jamiyah Nursing Home Nurses’ Day Celebration Jamiyah Nursing Home (JNH), in collaboration with the West Coast Citizens’ Consultative Committee (WCCCC), held a get-together of health care staff on 1 August 2018 in conjunction with the Nurses’ Day.

The gathering was held at a barbecue pit next to West Coast Heights RC. The event was graced by Jamiyah’s officials – Prof (Adj) Dr Mohd Hasbi Abu Bakar, Dr H M Saleem, Dr Isa Hassan, Dr Nizam and Mr Tiwari – and WCCCC grassroots leaders led by its Chairman, Mr Andrew Chua. In his speech, Prof (Adj) Dr Mohd Hasbi commended the JNH nurses for their hard work and dedication in caring for JNH residents.

Mr Andrew Chua, WCCCC Chairman, also lauded them for “bringing joy and healing to the sick”. He also mentioned his appreciation for Jamiyah’s support and partnership in making West Coast dementia-friendly by establishing JNH as a centre for go-to point programme to serve dementia affected patients in the community.

Several nurses were also awarded certificates of appreciation for their outstanding contributions to JNH. Truly, they are our everyday heroes!
