MEAT FOR NEEDY DISTRIBUTION 2019

In conjunction with the festive occasion, Jamiyah Singapore distributed a festive gift pack of 2 whole chicken and 1.5kg fresh mutton to 1,000 beneficiaries for the upcoming Hari Raya celebrations. The recipients comprised of beneficiaries from different race and faiths. The distribution was done over 3 days from 31 May to 2 June over 5 constituencies, namely Sembawang GRC, Jurong GRC, Macpherson SMC, Marsiling-Yew Tee GRC, and East Coast GRC. The distribution was graced by Dr Tan Wu Meng, Ms Tin Pei Ling, Mr Zaqy Mohamad and Dr Mohamad Maliki Osman. Minister Zaqy Mohamad (Minister of State, Ministry of National Development & Ministry of Manpower and MP for Chua Chu Kang GRC) praised the initiative. “This distribution is not just for the needy Muslim Families, but also to the non-Muslims families. This also helps to show our spirit of Ramadan to help those in need regardless of race or religion, and I think this will strengthen the spirit of society,” he said.
