Jamiyah Singapore organised a Meat for Needy distribution for 1,000 needy beneficiaries over two days, 12 and 13 June 2018.
This annual initiative helps the disadvantaged sections of Singapore regardless of race, religion or faith from Nee Soon, Woodlands, Bukit Batok, Henderson and other constituencies. Beneficiaries received up to 3kg of mutton for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
This year, Jamiyah is reaching out further by conducting home visits to the less mobile and elderly Singaporeans.
Assoc Prof Dr Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Social and Family Development & Ministry of Education, also the MP for Nee Soon GRC, Mr Amrin Amin, Senior Parliamentary Secretary Ministry of Home Affairs & Ministry of Health, also the MP for Sembawang GRC, Mr Murali Pillai, MP for Bukit Batok SMC, Ms Joan Pereira, MP for Tanjong Pagar GRC were the Guests of Honour for the various centres.
