Jamiyah Singapore together with the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Singapore co-organised a Community Iftar at Jamiyah Children’s Home (Darul Ma’wa) on Friday, 25th May 2018.
The Community Iftar bonded people of different races and religions, coming together to break fast together during the month of Ramadan.
25 children from the Home also joined the Iftar and some 50 beneficiaries joined the iftar. They were gifted Hari Raya Hampers and green packets at the event.
Gracing the event as Guest of Honour was Her Excellency Mdm Halimah Yacob President of The Republic of Singapore, and her husband Mr Mohamed Abdullah Alhabshee, His Excellency Dr Mohamed Omar A. Balfaqeeh, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates Embassy in Singapore, various diplomats, community and faith leaders and other distinguished guests.
Also present were officials of Jamiyah, Prof (Adj) Dr Mohd Hasbi Abu Bakar, President of Jamiyah Singapore, Senior Management and Executive Council Members of Jamiyah Singapore.
