A press conference was held at Jamiyah Headquarters on 27 April 2018 for the soft launch of The 26th Exemplary Mother Award 2018 (EMA). The annual event is organised by Jamiyah Singapore and in collaboration with People’s Association (PA). In this year’s 26th EMA, the committee introduced a new category, “Exemplary Young Mother Award” for nominees aged 35 and below.
Present during the press conference were Panel of Judges for the EMA, Ms Claire Chiang (Chairperson for Panel of Judges), Ms Joanna Portilla, Ms Lim Kar Yee, Mdm Saadiah Shahal, Mdm Sashika D/O Tukaram Durgude and Ms Laura Hwang.
Also present were officials of Jamiyah Dr H M Saleem (Vice President I), Mr Yunos Shariff (Vice President II), Dr Isa Hassan (Vice President III), Mdm Nora Rustham (Chairperson Women & Family), Mdm Faridah Ajis (Vice Chair) and representatives of PA, Ms Esther Quek, Ms Liew Hui Furn and Ms Zahara Ibrahim.
