Visitors from India at Darul Syifaa

Prof Nagore Rumi, Retired Professor of English Language and Literature from India visited Jamiyah Nursing Home (Darul Syifaa) on Wednesday, 6th December 2017. He was accompanied by Mr Haja Nizamudeen PBM, Vice Chairperson of Care Committee of North East Community Development Council. The visitors were welcomed by Dr Saleem, Vice President I of Jamiyah Singapore, Ustaz Rafiuddin Ismail, Secretary General, and Mr Tiwari, Director of Jamiyah Nursing Home. They were briefed of the various healthcare and wellness services of Jamiyah Nursing Home. Prof Rumi, an accomplished academician, who has published more than fifty books, mentioned that Jamiyah’s mission of reaching out to the elderly in the area of healthcare is worthy of emulation by non-governmental organizations with a similar mission in countries like India. Mr Haja Nizamudeen, expressed the hope that some of the outreach programmes such as Dementia Awareness Symposium could be carried out in the North East District also. He looks forward to discuss on this with Jamiyah officials soon.
